How to Make a Format for Vocabulary

This tutorial requires Microsoft Word.
Open Microsoft Word.
On the top of the page put your name, date, and section.
On the bottom left hand corner click "Auto Shapes" or go to "insert". Go over to where it says picture and click Auto Shapes (Either way it does the same thing).
It will then bring up all different categories. Choose the one you want and click on it. (Ex: Squares, arrows, etc.)
Your cursor will turn into a cross (+).
Click and drag it out forming the size of the shape you want.
Adding Text
Right click the shape you made and click on where it says "Add Text".
Add your information; if you have to go back and change it just double click inside the box.

Three Part Essay Format

INTRODUCTION may provide one or more of the following: background information, an anecdote, statistics, a quote, a definition and becomes more specific with the thesis.

Body Paragraph #1 begins with a topic sentence related to the first limit. It provides a minimum of three specific examples to support your first limit.

Body Paragraph #2 begins with a topic sentence related to limit #2. It provides a minimum of three specific examples to support your second limit.

Body Paragraph #3 begins with a topic sentence related to limit #3. It provides a minimum of three specific examples to support your third limit.

CONCLUSION should be inferential.

Be sure to use transitions: for example, such as, also, another, in addition to, furthermore, similarly, in the same way, on the other hand, on the contrary, however, but, etc.
