Three Part Essay Format


 

INTRODUCTION may provide one or more of the following: background information, an anecdote, statistics, a quote, a definition and becomes more specific with the thesis.

Body Paragraph #1 begins with a topic sentence related to the first limit. It provides a minimum of three specific examples to support your first limit.

Body Paragraph #2 begins with a topic sentence related to limit #2. It provides a minimum of three specific examples to support your second limit.

Body Paragraph #3 begins with a topic sentence related to limit #3. It provides a minimum of three specific examples to support your third limit.

CONCLUSION should be inferential.

Be sure to use transitions: for example, such as, also, another, in addition to, furthermore, similarly, in the same way, on the other hand, on the contrary, however, but, etc.
